Introducing Pulsa Frontier. Autonomous tank monitoring means more assets can be measured and brought into the Pulsa Dashboard. Pulsa makes it possible.
As gas distributors increasingly rely on telemetry to monitor and manage their assets, the need arises for new technologies that can further extend their digital reach. Pulsa has introduced the Frontier system to meet these challenges. With Pulsa Frontier, distributors can keep track of assets anywhere– literally, even in remote settings where there’s no access to power.
Self-powered communication from anywhere
The Pulsa Frontier system is designed to provide complete remote intelligence regarding tanks and inventory, without the need for AC power. The Frontier system communicates via the new Pulsa Frontier Link, which operates on battery power that can last for up to twenty years, depending on usage and environmental factors.
This untethered freedom opens a variety of new applications where conventional telemetry would otherwise be impossible. Pulsa Frontier opens up remote monitoring possibilities in offshore monitoring, agricultural settings, construction sites and anyplace else where it’s important to know pressures, weight or temperature, even though there’s no available electricity.
Mobile tracking too
One of the most important challenges for distributors is keeping compete tabs on assets at all points of the fulfillment cycle. The GPS function in Frontier Link can let dispatchers know where a truck is located and where specific assets are located. No more losing cylinders, dewars and other valuable equipment. Dispatch just got a lot more powerful.
Brings all your sensors together
The Pulsa Frontier system unifies devices of all kinds, from virtually any vendor, and brings the data into the easy-to-use Pulsa Dashboard. Each Frontier Link has dual input ports that can accept the new Pulsa Frontier Differential Pressure and Pulsa Frontier Pressure sensors and/ or additional digital sensors of any kind that have an output of 4-20mA or 0-5V. This capability lets operators make the most of legacy sensors that may already be in the field, including popular gauges and systems from Chart, Cyl-Tec, Anova, Wise, and Rotarex. Imagine easily adding CO2 atmospheric monitors and third-party telemetry into the Pulsa Dashboard. Set alerts, see a historical record of data, review it all together in Pulsa Reports, add Notes & Images, and Tasks to assets and locations– and more.
Pulsa makes custom connectors for the Frontier Link that can incorporate the following popular third-party devices:
Communication you can count on
Pulsa Frontier works with the same state-of-the-art connectivity customers expect from Pulsa. Pulsa is the only telemetry solution in the industry that connects with all three U.S. cellular networks (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint) and over 400 networks domestically and worldwide. Each Frontier Link module auto-detects the strongest cellular connection and locks on before broadcasting. There’s no pairing, no configuration or maintenance. Once installed, the Frontier Link can start sending measurements within minutes, with no further actions required.
More solutions, more efficiencies
With costs of fuel and vehicles running high, and labor shortages that are still a challenge, distributors need every tool they can get to become more efficient and more cost-conscious. With the Frontier system, Pulsa has added new possibilities for these efficiencies, which with time and scale, can dramatically increase profits.
